Africa Photo Safari

July 8-20, 2024

July 21-Aug 2, 2024

We have two African Safari departures for 2024

Join us on an exclusive Frontiers hosted safari in East Africa, offering a superb combination of game viewing and safari camps in Kenya and Tanzania. Whether you're a serious photographer, a cellphone shooter, or just along for the ride, this is an incredible safari. Because of incredible interest in our 2024 African safari, we are repeating the same safari with back to back departures.

We have carefully designed this itinerary to include four of the best camps in East Africa – Kenya's Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp, Tanzania's Serengeti Under Canvas, and concluding the trip in one of the most architecturally spectacular safari properties in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Each location provides a distinctive African experience providing insight into the unique flora and fauna found in the regions.

Upon arrival in Africa, our group will spend a relaxing night in Nairobi before starting the safari. Our first stop, located in the remote northwestern part of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kichwa Tembo features breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The Masai Mara combines some of the richest game viewing on the planet, and Kichwa beautifully blends deluxe tent life with exciting game drives and a cheerful camp atmosphere in open air dining where guests can watch their mouth watering meals being prepared from garden to table.

After flying from Kenya to Tanzania, we will sleep under canvas in a classic tented camp at Serengeti Under Canvas. This luxurious tented camp moves around the park bringing guests within reach of the Great Migration and exploring remote, beautiful corners of the Serengeti. The annual movement of over one and a half million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras and 500,000 Thomson's gazelle flow from the northern hills to the southern plains, and then west and north after the spring rains. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. To witness the migration is truly a life-changing experience.

Our last stop will be the lavish Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, located on the rim of the largest intact caldera in the world. A permanent population of more than 20,000 animals inhabit a mere 100 square miles in the 200 feet deep crater, making this one of the few places where one might see the entire Big Five in the course of a single game drive. The lodge itself has been called, “The game lodge at the top of the world” and is world renown for its eclectic blend of teak paneling, Victorian furnishings and whimsical African touches, all creating an atmosphere that is as elegant and unique as the Crater itself!

Please note that this departure is limited to 12 guests based on double occupancy accommodations.

We hope that you can join us on this incredible journey!
